Google allows the user with the ability to build their own website......FOR FREE! WHoohoo! My school actually provides their teachers with a program to build a website for their classroom and it is required to have an updated website for our parents. I actually preferred Google Sites over the program that my school uses because it was much more user friendly!
I have to admit that the only truly annoying thing about Google Sites is that you cannot rotate pictures that you upload.......I know that's really strange but true! SO if you want to upload pictures make sure that they are ready to go before you upload them!

Everyone knows and loves YouTube.....but are we using it to our best advantage? I just recently discovered (and maybe I'm just naive) that there is a specific YouTube website that is centered around education! You can actually access various educationally related videos on this site! Click here to check it out. I played around with this YouTube Education site and you can subscribe to a level of education that is specifically what you are interested in. Like primary or secondary, university, or lifelong learning. Anyhow, it's pretty awesome that YouTube decided to dedicate a site specifically for educational purposes!
Another little trick I became in love with is called the quietube. You can move this little tool to the top of your browser to "quiet" the nonsense that is going on around you video. AND you can even share the "quietube", so others can view the clip without the background noise! Click here if you're interested.
PICASA!!!! I like to say the word out loud....it just rolls off the tongue ya know. Picasa is a wonderful tool that Google has come along with that helps the user organize, manipulate, and share their pictures. All you really need to do is download it...which you can do here. I will admit that it took me some time to adjust to the program and learn how to use it correctly, but once I did begin to figure it out....I definitely enjoyed it!
